I use them to hold up my extensive collection of cook books, and it works perfectly fine with all of their weight. Nice looking and not flashy, they would go with a variety of household styles.

These are exactly what I was looking for. I was concerned that they might be flimsy, or that the "legs" wouldn't go far enough under the books for them to hold them securely, but both fears were unwarranted. They work well and look good.

This is just a poor product. The bottom is just metal. No grips or anything to keep the bookends from sliding. It slips and falls on my wood bookshelf. It may be ok for very small soft cover books, but skip these for any books over 5 inches tall, hard covers or books with moderate normal weight.
